We're thrilled to introduce three new members of the SimpsonScarborough team: Dempsey Ewan, Osmond Curtis, and Scott Smith. Beyond their obvious talent, experience, and passion for higher education, they all bring what makes them unique — their curious nature, strategic thinking, and palpable enthusiasm. They're remarkable additions to our team's culture and have already hit the ground running on a myriad of new client work.

Dempsey joins our Creative team as a Junior Designer.
She's a recent graduate of the Columbus College of Art and a co-founder of the risograph printing studio, Clatter Press. Her interests in classical art, literature, and floral design all influence how she approaches her work.  Based in Columbus, OH, she once lost her phone in the grand canal at the Palace of Versailles — which is easily the most impressive place any of us have ever lost a phone.

Osmond also joins our Creative team as a Junior Designer. He's a graduate of Alabama State University where he earned his B.A. in Graphic Design. In addition to his design chops, he's a gifted photographer (check out some of his work here) and is based in Atlanta, GA. Osmond's also a talented chef and has quickly become known for his carmelized onion jam recipe — the trick, he says, is in the technique. (I literally scheduled a zoom meeting with him later this week to learn about it.)

Scott Smith joins our Digital Team as a Web Developer. He's a graduate of Cal Lutheran University where he later worked gaining extensive experience building and managing front-end frameworks, implementing a major website rebrand, and even teaching undergraduates in the Art and Multimedia department. You can check out some of the professional and personal projects he's done here. Outside the office, you can find him hiking or watching Formula 1. Scott lives with his wife and son in Southern California at an outdoor school & retreat camp that his wife oversees. The best part, he says, is getting to experience all four seasons in the mountains while still living in Southern California.

Make sure to congratulate Dempsey, Osmond, and Scott on their new roles! And be sure to check our careers page often to see all of our open positions (reminder: we are a fully remote company!) including some that will be announced later this month.
