Announcing the New CEO of SimpsonScarborough

Today, on our 13th Founder’s Day, I am extraordinarily proud to announce Jason Simon’s promotion to Chief Executive Officer of SimpsonScarborough.

Jason Simon joined SimpsonScarborough six years ago when we were a team of just eleven. He led the build-out of our creative team, deepened our research thinking, and enhanced our brand strategy and messaging work. Last year, he played a key role in the acquisition of Knowble Media, which dramatically expanded our ability to offer web, video, and digital services to our clients. It’s abundantly clear to me that Jason’s vision for the agency, emotionally intelligent leadership, and commitment to the advancement of higher education will lead SimpsonScarborough to achieve even greater impact in the years to come.

Serving alongside Jason is Dana Edwards, our Chief Marketing Officer, who has been with the company for nearly 12 years. Because of their combined expertise and dedication, SimpsonScarborough’s culture has never been stronger, our vision for the future has never been clearer, and our business has never been healthier.

As for me, I am thrilled to become the agency’s Chairman. This new role will provide me with more time to counsel the industry about the enormous impact that research-driven branding and marketing strategy has on advancing the cause of higher education. It will also give me more time to foster industry partnerships, mentor the next generation of higher ed marketing leaders, and dedicate more time to writing and speaking.

SimpsonScarborough began as both an idea and a conviction: that higher education changes the world, and that the strongest higher education brand strategies are built, measured, refined and expressed through research.

Since our founding, we have partnered with more than 300 colleges and universities across the country to develop brands that inspire and endure. We’ve fostered deep, meaningful partnerships with esteemed higher ed professionals we now call our friends. I want to sincerely thank all of the clients who have trusted us with important, thrilling, and challenging work over the past 14 years.
